Koda is a music rights organization with more than 51,000 members consisting of composers, songwriters, and music publishers.
We work to ensure that composers, songwriters, and music publishers receive fair remuneration from those who listen to and use their music and to make the music industry more sustainable. Socially, environmentally, and economically.
We collect payment for music
We enter into agreements regarding payment for the use of music with those who use music in public spaces. This includes everything from music in shops, restaurants, radio, television, concerts, and on streaming services. We also do this outside of Denmark through agreements with companies like us in other countries.

Based on detailed information about what music has been played, where and when, we distribute money to those who hold the rights to the music that has been played.

We aim to make a positive difference for the society and the industry we are a part of. We work purposefully and ambitiously to make the music industry more sustainable. Socially, environmentally, and economically.
#Koda manages the copyright for composers, and songwriters and their music publishers. Copyright ensures that composers, songwriters, and music publishers must grant permission when their music is played in public spaces. As a Koda member, you authorize Koda to make agreements regarding the public use of your music.
