How is the money generated?
Koda's royalty payments are based on the revenue we receive from music licenses we issue to everyone who uses and provides music as part of their business. This includes everything from TV, radio, and streaming services to cafes, shops, gyms, and festivals.

What do I need to do?

1. Become a member of Koda

To get paid when your music is played publicly, you need to join Koda. There is a one-time fee of DKK 650 plus VAT in total DKK 812.50, and after that, membership is free. If you want to join as a music publisher, the fee is DKK 3,500 plus VAT in total DKK 4,375.

2. Register your music

You will only receive payment from us if your music is registered. Therefore, it is important to register your works as soon as you have written new music, ideally 14 days before it is played or other ways made public.

Next royalty payment

Since 2019, Koda has been the first society in the world to make monthly distributions to our members. Which royalties are included in the distribution depend on various factors.
