Privacy Policy for Customers

Below you can read about how Koda manages your data if you pay for a music license with Koda and thus are a customer.

When you are a customer – or a contact person for a customer – at Koda, Koda processes information about your person.
We handle your name, address, phone number, email, business registration number, and any website.

If you are the contact person for a client, we will also register your position within the client's company.

If you run a privately owned business, it can also be said that the information we have about your business (such as music consumption and characteristics of the business that are important for the customer relationship, such as entrance revenue or area) also says something about you as a person.

During the customer relationship, we can make notes on the case, which help us provide you with the best possible service – for example, by trying to prevent you from having to tell the same story twice because you are contacted by two different employees.

The code is responsible for data

According to data protection regulations, we must inform you that Koda is the data controller responsible for handling your personal data as a customer – or as a contact person for a customer – at Koda. Koda requires some data about you for secure identification of the customer relationship and for ongoing collaboration. This is referred to in the data protection regulations as a 'legitimate interest'. You have the right to request Koda to provide access to and to make amendments or deletions of your data. You also have the right to restrict data processing and to object to data processing. Furthermore, you have the right to data portability, meaning the right to receive a copy of your data. However, Koda's legal obligation to document its business activities and to optimally manage the rights we are appointed to administer may limit your right to deletion and restriction of processing.

Kodas has the right to process your personal data in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

You can file a complaint about Koda's handling of your data with the Data Protection Agency.

As a general rule, Koda will retain information about you for up to five years after your relationship with Koda has ended. If the information is integrated into a history that needs to be preserved, Koda will keep it for a longer period, as it may be disproportionately difficult to 'cleanse the case' of your data.
