Claim unpaid royalties
Sometimes, music is used, and we receive a payment for it, but we cannot identify who should receive the money. This is typically due to inadequate reporting, where we only have a title or a rights holder.
We upload new lists yearly. The latest upload was on February 27, 2025, and we expect to upload new lists before the end of March. The current data comes from music reporting with expected payments from the 2nd quarter of 2022 to the 4th quarter of 2024.
Once all information about a work or a rights holder is in order, you will no longer be able to find the work or the rights holder here in the database.
Check our database to see if your name or your works are included. If you find your work in the database, make sure to register it on Mit Koda or send an email to [email protected]
It may take a moment to load the form, thank you for your patience. Is it already visible? Then you're ready to get started.
Where does the money come from?
Koda continuously makes proactive efforts to obtain work registrations, find the correct rights holders, or locate any heirs. There are several reasons why we might be unable to distribute funds:
- The work is not registered.
- A rights holder has passed away, and we do not have sufficient information about the heirs, or we are missing information about one or more rights holders of the work.
- The reporting on music usage is so incomplete that we cannot match it to a work and make a payment.

More about the work of finding documentation
Exchange of data with foreign societies
Koda sends lists to other copyright societies abroad several times a year in the hope that they have the correct documentation for the works and rights holders for which Koda lacks documentation. Koda receives and checks corresponding lists from foreign copyright societies.
#Deadlines
When Koda is unable to make a payment, we reserve the earned amount for up to 36 months (from the first expected payment). If we receive the proper documentation within those 36 months, the amount will be paid out. After 36 months, the case will be considered outdated, and the amount will be recycled within the area it was earned.
#Subject to text and data mining
Koda reserves the right to text and data mining according to the Copyright Act § 11 b, paragraph 2, and the underlying EU law. Therefore, any form of collection (scraping) and use of Koda members' copyright-protected works for training or development of AI requires permission.
