Distribution spotlight
Discovery Channels, See, and Web Player
In addition to the regular monthly payments in the TV area, this distribution includes payments for the first half of 2025 covering several Discovery-owned TV channels (such as Kanal 4, Kanal 5, etc.) as well as the TV channel See.
There is also a payment for music used in linear TV broadcasts viewed via web players provided by TV distributors during the period 2022 - 2024. The basis for this payment consists of representative distribution data from the TV channels included.
Jelling Music Festival and Copenhell
In the concert area, distributions have begun for the major festivals in 2025, with payments now available for concerts held at this year’s Jelling Music Festival and Copenhell.
National tv DR Synchronization
The distribution includes payment for synchronization at DR in 2024 - in accordance with the synchronization agreement between NCB and DR. The payment is based on DR’s reporting of all broadcasts aired for the first time in 2024. These broadcasts have been matched with music data in Koda’s systems and filtered according to the criteria set out in the agreement.
Compensation for Local Sub-Publishing
Additionally, there is a payment under the so-called “Compensation for Local Sub-Publishing” scheme – a compensation payment to publishers holding sub-publishing rights in the Danish territory. These amounts are deducted from the TV distribution revenues for foreign TV channels that Koda forwards to other collective management organizations abroad, which hold the primary agreements and process full reporting for the channels.
How much will I get paid?
The royalty payment we send to you for the use of your music is based on several factors, depending on where the music is used. For example, on TV and radio, we talk about minute values, whereas streaming is based on the number of streams. Concerts are paid out based on the number of attendees and, among other things, ticket prices if any.
