Final payment of First Performance award
First performance awards are now being paid for performances in 2024. This is the final performance year covered by this award.
Over a five-year period, the first performance award has been phased out. The changes in payment terms are the result of a decision made at Koda’s general assembly in 2020, and are necessary for Koda to comply with the international industry organization CISAC’s guidelines and requirements for transparency, equal treatment, and objective criteria.
Therefore, no first performance awards will be paid for performances in 2025 and beyond.
Annual Payments for Online
Payments for the entire year of 2024 are being distributed for the area of "Films and Series via TV Distributors". This covers music usage in films and series offered free of charge by TV distributors such as YouSee and Stofa/Norlys.
Payments are also being distributed for 2024 for music usage in broadcasts from DRTV, which are also made available via subscriptions through TV distributors.
Additionally, there is an annual payment for 2024 for music in podcasts, specially composed music on websites, and Bauer Media’s web radio Radio Play.
How much will I get paid?
The royalty payment we send to you for the use of your music is based on several factors, depending on where the music is used. For example, on TV and radio, we talk about minute values, whereas streaming is based on the number of streams. Concerts are paid out based on the number of attendees and, among other things, ticket prices if any.
