Fees and administrative costs
Some of Koda’s services involve additional work for which the member must pay themselves. Certain services are subject to fees, as outlined in Koda’s bylaws. For other types of individual services, members are required to cover the administrative costs that Koda incurs in providing them.
Fees
Koda charges fees in the following situations:
- Upon registration
- When submitting a complaint to Koda’s Appeals Board
- When withdrawing a category of rights from Koda’s management
Administrative costs
Administrative costs related to servicing members are generally covered collectively. However, when a member requests a specific individual service that requires additional administrative work, the member must bear the cost of processing the request, rather than having it shared among all Koda members.
Fees apply to the following services:
- Transfer of royalty payments to third parties
If a member requests that royalty payments be transferred to a third party - such as a manager, booker, or lawyer - Koda requires that the administrative costs associated with registering the transfer be covered by the member. The fee for each such transfer is DKK 500 plus VAT, totaling DKK 625
- Registration of multi-login to My Koda for non-Koda members
For example, managers or others who are granted direct access to a Koda member’s My Koda account via multi-login. In such cases, Koda requires the administrative costs to be covered by the member. The fee for each registration is DKK 500 plus VAT, totaling DKK 625.
- Registration of authors’ secret pseudonyms
The registration of an author’s first pseudonym is free of charge. For any subsequent pseudonym registrations, Koda requires the member to cover the administrative costs. The fee is DKK 500 plus VAT, totaling DKK 625 per registration.
- Costs for external and/or special case processing
This includes, among other things, expenses incurred by Koda in connection with the processing of inheritance cases - such as fees for obtaining information from embassies and consulates abroad, including heir and legal status investigations. The amount charged depends on the actual expenses incurred in each case.
- Creation of split membership
Koda has administrative costs associated with managing a split membership. The amount is DKK 650 plus VAT, totaling DKK 812.50.
- Registration of an unusually high number of works annually
If an author member wishes to register an unusually large number of works - where there is reason to believe that the high volume may, for example, be due to the use of artificial intelligence - Koda reserves the right to charge an administrative fee.
Koda may also impose fees to cover other special administrative costs, should the need arise. All fees charged by Koda are subject to VAT.
